นายกรัฐมนตรี ลอว์เรนซ์ หว่อง เปิดเผยว่า สิงคโปร์เตรียมพร้อมออกมาตรการช่วยเหลือภาคธุรกิจและประชาชนเพิ่มเติม หากสถานการณ์ตะวันออกกลางทวีความรุนแรงขึ้น

โดยย้ำว่ารัฐบาลมีความพร้อมในการรับมือ หากสถานการณ์เลวร้ายลง และสามารถดำเนินมาตรการได้อย่างทันท่วงที

ในระยะนี้ รัฐบาลจะเดินหน้ามาตรการตามที่ประกาศไว้ในงบประมาณปี 2569 ก่อน อาทิ การช่วยเหลือค่าสาธารณูปโภคและมาตรการสนับสนุนภาคธุรกิจ พร้อมติดตามสถานการณ์อย่างใกล้ชิด

ความตึงเครียดในตะวันออกกลางและการหยุดชะงักของการขนส่งผ่านช่องแคบฮอร์มุซ ส่งผลให้ราคาพลังงานโลกปรับตัวสูงขึ้น และมีแนวโน้มดันค่าไฟฟ้าในสิงคโปร์เพิ่มขึ้นในระยะต่อไป รวมถึงอาจกระทบภาคส่วนอื่น เช่น อาหาร ปุ๋ย และอุตสาหกรรมเซมิคอนดักเตอร์

ทั้งนี้ ทางการยืนยันว่าระบบพลังงานของประเทศยังคงมีเสถียรภาพ พร้อมขอความร่วมมือประชาชนประหยัดพลังงานและใช้อุปกรณ์อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

นายกรัฐมนตรีสิงคโปร์ยังแสดงความกังวลว่า สถานการณ์ดังกล่าวอาจส่งผลกระทบต่อระเบียบระหว่างประเทศ และเพิ่มความไม่แน่นอนของโลก พร้อมย้ำความจำเป็นในการรักษาระเบียบโลกที่ยึดตามกติกา

🇸🇬 Singapore Ready to Roll Out More Measures Amid Middle East Crisis

Singapore is ready to roll out additional support measures for households and businesses if needed, amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, said Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

While the government has resources to act quickly, it will first implement measures announced under Budget 2026, including utility rebates and business support, while closely monitoring the situation.

Rising global energy prices, driven by the conflict and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, could push up electricity costs in the coming months. A prolonged blockage of the key shipping route may also have wider impacts on the global economy, affecting sectors such as food, fertiliser and semiconductor production.

Despite this, Singapore’s energy supply remains secure. Authorities have urged the public to conserve energy and use more efficient appliances.

PM Wong also warned that beyond economic risks, the situation could weaken international rules and increase global instability, stressing the importance of cooperation to uphold a rules-based order.
