ระหว่างวันที่ 8–18 มิถุนายน 2569 ผู้แทนจากทั่วโลกเข้าร่วมการประชุม SB64 ณ เมืองบอนน์ ประเทศเยอรมนี เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสู่การประชุม COP31 ในช่วงปลายปีนี้

สำหรับภูมิภาคอาเซียน การประชุมครั้งนี้มีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง เนื่องจากประเทศสมาชิกต่างเผชิญความท้าทายจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศมากขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคลื่นความร้อน ภัยแล้ง น้ำท่วม พายุรุนแรง และระดับน้ำทะเลที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้น ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อเศรษฐกิจ ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร และคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนทั่วภูมิภาค

นอกจากการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกแล้ว SB64 ยังหารือถึงการปรับตัวต่อผลกระทบจากสภาพภูมิอากาศ การเข้าถึงเงินทุนด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศ และการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำ ซึ่งเป็นประเด็นที่หลายประเทศในอาเซียนกำลังให้ความสำคัญ

ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนได้กำหนดเป้าหมายด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศที่ชัดเจนมากขึ้น พร้อมส่งเสริมพลังงานสะอาด การพัฒนาเมืองที่ยั่งยืน และความร่วมมือด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายร่วมกันของภูมิภาค

แม้การประชุม SB64 จะจัดขึ้นนอกภูมิภาคอาเซียน แต่ผลการหารือจากเวทีนี้อาจส่งผลต่อทิศทางการพัฒนา เศรษฐกิจ และความร่วมมือด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศของอาเซียนในอนาคต

 

ASEAN Insight: SB64 Climate Change Dialogue Forum and ASEAN's Sustainable Development Future

 

From June 8–18, 2026, representatives from around the world participated in the SB64 conference in Bonn, Germany, in preparation for the COP31 conference later this year.

For the ASEAN region, this conference was of paramount importance, as member states face increasing challenges from climate change, including heatwaves, droughts, floods, severe storms, and rising sea levels, impacting the economy, food security, and the quality of life of people throughout the region.

In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, SB64 also discussed adaptation to climate impacts, access to climate financing, and the transition to a low-carbon economy, issues that many ASEAN countries are prioritizing.

In recent years, ASEAN member states have set increasingly clear climate targets, promoting clean energy, sustainable urban development, and environmental cooperation to address the region's common challenges.

Although the SB64 conference was held outside the ASEAN region, the outcomes of the discussions from this forum could significantly influence the future direction of ASEAN's economic development and climate cooperation.
